   WEEKEND RETREAT

 MAY 17-19, 2024

 TEACH BHRÍDE

TULLOW, CO.CARLOW

Take time out to connect with your innermost self.

Make space to clarify your understanding of who you are.

Engage in the teachings of Kriya Yoga for personal growth

and spiritual well-being.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

This weekend retreat aims to give participants the chance to disconnect from the goings on of everyday life, creating a space for them to reflect on their innermost nature. During the course of the retreat participant will be invited to take part in specific practices, to explore and examine who they are, and gain clarity on their place in the world.

David McGrath will facilitate workshops sharing introductory philosophical and psychological principles found in Kriya Yoga as a means to support individuals in the observation of their own mental and emotional processes. The retreat will include periods of meditation and contemplation, which play a fundamental role in Kriya Yoga practice.

In order to provide a favourable environment for participants to disconnect more fully, guests will be required to refrain from conversation and chat on the Saturday of the retreat. There will be opportunity to engage and interact on both the Friday and Sunday.

PREPARING FOR THE RETREAT

The focus of the retreat is to provide participants with a space to practice letting go. To this end, guests are asked to organise themselves so as to be able to commit to being fully present throughout the event. This will mean avoiding the use of any mobile devices.

Guests are welcome to bring an exercise mat, cushion and blanket for their own comfort if they should so choose. The retreat will not include instruction in yogasana (yoga body postures). Consequently, no mats, straps or blocks are required. There is no requirement to sit cross-legged or in specific yoga postures. The only posture required is an upright alert sitting position. Chairs will be available for use at all times. Stretching and movement breaks will be included at different intervals throughout the program.

Guests are encouraged to arrive for the retreat well rested, with an open curious, mind.
