A Practice Circle is a small group where participants can reflect together on the Yamas and Niyamas, the foundational principles of yoga.
It’s been almost two years since the publication of the book, The Yogi’s Way: Living in Accord with the Yamas & Niyamas. The Practice Circle aims to create a space to explore these teachings more deeply as a group.
What is a Practice Circle?
Each Practice Circle will bring together 3 participants, who will meet either biweekly or monthly over a period of 6 months to 2 years, depending on what feels right for the group. The meetings will provide a supportive environment to discuss and reflect on the Yamas and Niyamas, using The Yogi’s Way as the central guide.
How does it work?
Autonomous Reflection: While the book will serve as the starting point, the group will have complete freedom to explore and apply the teachings in ways that resonate with each participant. The discussions will evolve based on what feels most meaningful to the group.
Collaborative and Personal Growth: This is a space for both personal insight and collective reflection, where each participant brings their own experiences and interpretations to enrich the conversation.
My Role: I will join the group as a plus one every two or three meetings to offer guidance and support, helping to stimulate deeper reflection and discussion.
What happens at the end?
The Practice Circle is not focused on producing something specific, but you may find that as a result of engaging deeply with these principles, you feel inspired to create something—whether it’s writing, art, or another personal project. This is entirely optional and based on your own reflection.
Cost
The Practice Circles are offered at no cost to participants. Whenever I join a meeting, I will provide a link for those who wish to make a financial contribution to support the continuation of this work and my efforts. This contribution is entirely optional and appreciated, but not required to participate.
Interested?
The first Practice Circle began in November. The second circle is scheduled to begin December/ January with another one beginning in January/ February. Groups will be organised on a first-come, first-served basis while also taking into consideration the specific circumstances of each applicant.
